Determination of Poet
We are not to rewind the history.
We never be back to the past.
No countries or no race,
We throw fear away,
We cast doubt and prejudice away
Not falling into chauvinism
Not to build a wall again in the world.
If how we are extended in the future
I myself want to believe that
People can confront with the courage together.
With strength of the heart
and determination for tomorrow
World poets! Let'look up the same blue sky,
And aim to the height together.
Even if we are called that's idealism of poet
Even if we are accused and slandered
Let's go to grasp the same white cloud earlier anyone else
Let's go to make sure of the depth of the sea earlier anyone else
To feel coldness of the submarine water.
In a blowing wind
We straighten and sing
This determination with high spirit

Someday.
We want to travel,
we will always travel,
from who we are,
to what we were,
or to what we can become.
But now we are here,
in this time which shouts
that the body is vulnerable,
the world is breathing
in a respirator.
We travelled through the streets,
along motorways
and train rails, in the air.
We were on the move
back and forth.
Now we are looking for
a place to breathe between the letters,
fumbling for ways to
transport us through pixels,
measure our heart rate in hertz.
We listen to the wind
sweeping along the rooftops,
tearing into what is stagnant.
Earth is one place now.
We all sail in this fragile vessel.
We hear the sound of low voices,
the sound of the city closing its doors,
of people living their lives,
striving, waiting, dreaming,
hoping that someday,
someday...

POETRY
Sometimes words are eyes
They gaze at the world aslant.
Deep down they dig
Different perspectives.
Sometimes,however, words
Hover in mid air
And fail to reach into the corners of life.
And verse is dust in a beam of light.

THE UNEMPLOYED WATCHMAKERS
The unemployed watchmakers have gone out
to put a stop to time by any means necessary
the mechanical clocks took up the fight
mechanical clocks stopped
table clocks wall clocks fell in battle
the clocks fell in death of the brave crashed
the clocks in the towers together with their towers
where were sentenced
to life imprisonment seasoned
the killers of time struck the pocket watches
in their pockets wristwatches turned
into handcuffs for timelessly supporting
unemployed crowds of the penniless rushed
hopelessly without money and solitary
groups of the disengaged were dispatched
regulars directed to suppress the rioters
regular parts armed with sharp clockwork
minute hands and second hands
on their empty banners
was inscribed time is money

Sky of Shibuya

I got on Shinkansen bound for Tokyo
All passengers wore facemask.
Plastic greenhouses were lining are seen from train window.
When I got to Shibuya
At the scramble crossing
Loving dog Hachi were waiting me
In obscurity
Long time ago
I called my brother worked in Tokyo
We strolled the blight lightts
Like hooligans
Regret to say, he died around 60 years old
Caused by disease suffered from army life
The weather was clear
The view is splendid from observation tower
I felt blue sky so close
At there
Left side was grassed all
I saw moving crowd below
New national stadium, panorama view
On the opposite side
Colorful images unfolded
People's moving calculation by GPS
Searched words and so on
Performance in the near future
I become 90 years old this year
And attend the wedding ceremony of my grandson
I observe high rises of the megalopolis
Walking without a cane with a weak leg
Tomorrow will be fine.

Fighting poets
Mariko Sumikura
State of emergency declaration is issued in Japan by spread of Coronavirus. What should poets do now? When I asked overseas poets, they answered that we must keep writing poetry as ever. Yes, we have to write the truth which can be written only under such conditions.
Dante Maffia contributed the exciting haiku collection as "33 Haiku per una Corona vigliacca" right away, so I translated it. I think that we have to copy this abnormal world like a marbling art by poetry. We must do it. Don't be infected even soul and love by hateful Coronavirus. I really wish world poets to confront by a pen. I want them to contribute encouraging poems.
Small fort
I'm fighting every day
Even in midnight, too
Against the enemy
Something small
Something big
Something visible
Something invisible
Something worrying me
Something making me sad
Something unpleasant
Something making me weaken
Something making me depressed
I'm fighting
Even now
I'm fighting
With these words
This war doesn't end
I should not be defeated
I have not an ally
I am fighting alone
This is a war of myself
Against weakness of mind
If there is an open slit
When my defense became loose
The enemy is applying an all-out attack
This fort is built
With carefulness
I save some food
Waiting a decisive battle
When is the attack?
How will they come?
Is it midnight?
Then, I won't sleep
Is it moving now?
Then, I won't go out
Is it already inside?
Then, I won't put in
If I have to raise a white flag
I don't fight from the beginning
I win or fall, the result is one
I fight with violence of Samurai
I'm also fighting today
I hear the sound
The enemy resigns
And retreats at last
I hear the sound
of the hoof
Archangel leads reinforcements
from a far place
They appear raising a cloud of dust
Even though at a small fort
I should not give up against the enemy
In a war
