Duet of Water 水の二重奏

近づいてくるのが見える別離

朝霧の泉で水を汲み

甕を両腕にかかえて　畔の小屋へ戻った

白埴の容れものに

水はふくらみながら耀き落ちた

うれしさのなかに

ひびわれがあり

おだやかな歌の途中に

黒い針の予感がよぎる

こらえきれず

はんぶんの水を土に返した

地に鋲を打つ音が近づいてくる

慄れ　目を瞠った

甕をかかえたまま

霧のなかから

やがて会い　そして別れるひとの

顔のない帽子が現われた

Approaching from Afar, Parting

In the morning mist, ladled water at the spring
Cradling the jar, returned to the hut at the field's edge
In the jar of white clay
The living water pulses, sparkling

In that happiness

However, a crack

In the serene song
A dark needle scratch of foreboding

In the unbearable tension
Half the water spilt, given back to the ground

The crunch of hobnailed boots approaching

Frozen eyes opened wide
Still cradling the jar

A man emerges from the mist
Soon we will meet and part
His cap, still faceless, approaches

北原千代（日本） 

詩人、エッセイスト。１９５４年京都府生まれ。同志社大学卒業。

日本現代詩人会、日本詩人クラブ、日本国際詩人協会会員。

主な著書：詩集『ローカル列車を待ちながら』２００５年、『スピリトゥス』２００７年（いずれも土曜美術社出版）、『繭の家』２０１１年、『真珠川　Barroco』２０１６年（いずれも思潮社）、エッセイ集『須賀敦子さんへ贈る花束』２０１８年（思潮社近刊）、個人誌「ばらいろ爪」（Rose Claw)を編集発行し、現代詩とエッセイ、翻訳詩を連載。

国際詩祭参加：響き合う東西詩人：ポエトリーリーディングin Kyoto, ＪＵＮＰＡ設立５周年記念国際詩祭（２０１７年）、日英バイリンガル詩集：「水の二重奏」ドナテッラ・ビズッティと共著（２０１８年）

朗読活動：Projet La Voix des Poètes(詩人の聲)で、東京にて２０回の単独公演。その他、詩とエッセイに関する講演活動並びに、大学、カルチャセンターなどでも不定期に講義を行う。音楽ホールの委嘱により、パイプオルガンと詩のコラボレーションの舞台において、ストーリー、脚本、舞台朗読を行う。
受賞歴：『真珠川　Barroco』において第６７回Ｈ氏賞。(２０１７年)

Poet, essayist. Born in Kyoto (1954), Graduated from Doshisha University. Member of Japan Poets Association, Japan Poets Club, Japan Universal Poets Association.
