HAI AN (China)

BETWEEN CUPS OF WATER

Living fingers stretch out with ease

Surmount the table standing upright

To raise a cup of water

Palm warm, water within hand

Begins to quiver

A fit of sentiments drifts the water outside

All living fingers stretch out with ease

Surmount the wall standing straight

To raise the opposed cups

Palms hot, water boils between fingers

A mouth gapes at the left and the right

The face appears gray and old

Graceful gestures stretch out with ease

Surmount the South and North

Withdraw splashed fingers

Palms calm, cups filled with water

Within and without

Void of sentiments

Between cups of water stand one pair of hands

Palms cold

First love

A day arises from my love poem
My first love, my first memory
Just you and me

But on such a day I dream about death
My limbs and my heart are scattered
Their fragments deposed in your heart

A day arises from my love poem
A sea of love flows over the dams
Submerges everything except your soulful eyes

Only alive, love can touch the heaven
Only you and me
The first day preserves our first love

A day arises from my love poem

Only your face stands the test
Only you resist the darkness

Only you, my first and last love.
