1. - THE NAKED CITY
A nostalgic breeze from the river
climbs up the oldest streets,
diluting in the square the wild sea
and the suspicion of the moon is clear reflection,
guessed on its back
unblemished of any prejudice.
The deserted city draws by hand
filaments of transparent rain
that descend into the pit of the night.
City with a sovereign past,
slightly inclined to sadness,
lashed by the gusts of the wind
that crosses the Square
and lets itself down,
-blind and like a dead body-
to the gloom, like fine drizzle falls
rolling deafly through the streets
which smell like a night in a city,
naked now as the eternal Comala.
Silence at the innocent balconies
with wavy iron railings
anointed by the air of the years.
Silence in the corners which hurry up
nostalgic attacks of night jasmine time.
The naked city gets wet slowly,
filling its profile with the humidity
that covers up the echoes of a past
of haughty looks
and birds of geometric and bold flights.
The naked city, when the night
imposes its power, drops its eyelids
and undertakes a new journey into memory.

2. - NOCTURNAL FOUNTAIN
From absent stars that leave no trace
in nights without moon in the sky.
From candles stifled in the candleholders
in lonely and sleepless nights.
From insomnia shards, from their black whips:
Wounded from life, verses come to me.

Julio Pavanetti is writer, poet Born in Montevideo on July 27, 1954. Lives in Alicante, Spain.
Founder and President of "Liceo Poetico de Benidorm" and mamber nº 1569 of the AEAE (Asociación de Escritores y Artistas Españoles).
He has published articles in newspapers "Noticias Benidorm", "Noticias Alicante" and "Canfali Marina Baixa".
He has published poems in the literary magazines "La Explanada" in Alicante(2004/2005)
Habitual collaborator of the from Alicante literary and artistic magazines/ "Auca" and "Perito".

1. - 裸の街
川からの懐かしいそよかぜが
もっとも古い通りをのぼってくる
広場の粗野な海で薄めながら
そして月の疑惑は明るく反射し
どのような先入観の傷もない
その裏側を類推させる
砂漠の街は手で描く
夜の窪みに落ちゆく
透明の雨のフィラメント
過去の君主をして街は
一抹の悲しみに向かわせる
突風に打ちつけられ
広場を通り抜ける
そのまま行くと、
―眼が見えぬ 死体のような―
陰鬱へ、うつくしい霧雨がふる
通りをぬけてぼんやりと歩きまわる
街の夜のような匂い
永遠のコマラのよういまは裸だ
うねる鉄の手すりがついた
無垢なバルコンの静寂
長年の外気に清められて
街角の静寂 そこは急ぐのだ
ジャスミンの夜の懐かしい攻め
裸の街はゆっくりと濡れていく
湿り気で横顔を塗っていく
そして横柄な格好の
過去のこだまが多い尽くす
そして鳥たちの幾何学的で勇敢な飛行
裸の街、その夜
その力をみせ、睫に留まり
新しい旅を記憶へと引き込んでいく
