Western-Eastern Poets in Sympathy: Poetic Dialogue "Duet in Infinity"Adolf Shvedchikov & Kazuhiko

Duet in Infinity

MOTIONLESS

The stone has been living

before the human beings lived

It has looked around

without movement

When the water became ice

water inside the creases

expanded the gap

The stone has endured the pain

With the energy from the sun,

the stone was also likely to explode

Dressed with grasses

for fighting back

Without getting tired of the stay

Why so?

I wonder why the stone did not move

This appearance does not always fit into the surroundings

From now on

Keep carrying out the same

with the neighboring stones
